The Aviary is a student-led print magazine that amplifies the voices of female and non-binary identifying students at American University. In designing The Aviary Magazine, I developed a layout system that balances editorial elegance with bold, expressive typography, reflecting the publication’s mission of empowerment and authenticity.
The design incorporates dynamic compositions, custom illustrations, and a cohesive color palette to create an engaging reading experience. Attention to detail in typography and image treatment ensures that each story resonates in both visual and narrative ways.
